Why? As the top left photo shows, the threaded ends of the stock U-bolts stick downward. They not only decrease under-axle clearance, but they're vulnerable to impact damage. Often, old stock U-bolt nuts can't even be removed. The U-bolts must be torched off. A.O.R.'s U-Bolt FIip Kit fixes all that by moving the plate to the top of the axle and pointing the U-bolt threaded ends up and away from danger.

plates are fabricated from beefy 3/8" hot-rolled plate steel, 4 1/2 inches wide by 7

9/16" , gold-zinc coated U-bolts are included with all U-Bolt Flip Kits. You can also special order round-bend or square-bend U-bolts in any length you need. Special-order U-bolts are available zinc-coated or plain. |
