About A.O.R.
Who ARE Those Guys?! aorcatwho1sm2.jpg (32757 bytes)
You may already be familiar with Kevin Grove and his yellow '84 Toyota from numerous articles and features in magazines such as Petersen's 4Wheel & Offroad, 4x4 Power and Four Wheeler.  Or you may have seen Kevin and his yellow Toy on the toughest trails from the Rubicon to Moab.   And you may know that Kevin was co-owner of Rocky Mountain Offroad Specialties in Grand Junction, Colorado.
A.O.R.TM - owner Kevin Grove built the company out
of his own passion for extreme Toy 'wheeling.

All Toys All the Time

As you might guess, Kevin is first, last and always a Toyota fanatic.  He's also a rock crawl-aholic.   So he recently decided
to open his own all-Toy-all-the-time company dedicated to pushing the trail-performance evelope like never before.  Advanced
Off-Road Research is the result.  And A.O.R.'s goal is to provide you with the very best hardware possible to make your
Toyota do everything you want it to do on the trail--but still be daily driveable.

Personally Tested Products, Personal Service

Many A.O.R. products are designed by Kevin himself.  And every product or product line A.O.R. sells has been installed on a test rig--usually Kevin's own '84--and thoroughly trail-tested.  We joke on our main page about meeting the international FUBAR standard.

But the reality is no joke:  Kevin won't sell anything he hasn't personally tested and proven to deliver the promised performance, durability and quality.  After all, this whole company started from Kevin's quest to make his own Toy work better on the trail.

Every A.O.R.TM product design is trail-thrased to perfection before it's added to the catalog.
We want to make sure you get the hardware and service you need for your Toy, too.  So we're willing to spend the necessary time on the phone with our customers.  But we're a small company with a few guys who do everything.  So please be patient if you sometimes get the answering machine.  We will call you back and we will give you the same personal attention and service that kept us on the phone with another customer when you called.

No Trailer Queens

How you get your rig to the trail isn't a big concern to some big parts sellers.  But at A.O.R., we realize that lots of you don't have tow rigs and trailers.  We know that for many of you, your trail rig has to be your daily driver, too.  So we're committed to providing products that increase your trail performance without killing daily driveability.
That's the way Kevin's own '84 has been built.  It's fitted with practically every product we sell, including 5-inch lift A.O.R.Orbit-EyeTM Springs.  It gets a full 26 inches of front-axle articulation (from full tire stuff to full droop).  Yet Kevin doesn't hesitate to hop in and drive from Grand Junction to the Rubicon to 'wheel.  Or to use it as a chase truck in the B.O.R.E. desert racing series.
Small Company, Big Ideas

A.O.R. is a small company and we want to keep it that way.  That gives us time to work on the big ideas that'll make your Toy work better, instead of having to hawk tons of gewgaws just to pay our overhead.   And many of our products--especially our springs--are custom made to your order.  We won't compromise quality to rush a job out the door.

So sometimes you'll need to allow a week or two (sometimes three) for us to make and deliver your goods.  We hope you'll agree that it's worth the short wait to get the custom quality we insist on.

Thanks for logging onto our website.  We'll update it frequently, and we welcome your suggestions and comments.
