Patti Dick's extreme-flex '84 'Runner sports full-width Dana 60 axles with 38" Swampers on MRT beadlocks. 5" A.O.R. springs and extended shackles team up with 2" body lift and Rock Crawler fiberglass flares to make room for the massive meats.

The Bilstein 7100s required custom A.O.R. one-off front mounts to maximize the Dana 60's flex potential with the A.O.R. springs. As usual, Chief Fab Engineer Jack Bones went crazy with the go-fast holed gussets!

BELOW:

A.O.R. doesn't do many in-shop buildups and we don't do 'em fast. We have to work them in between fabbing the custom parts you see in the Online Catalog. But Pat Gallagher towed his 'Runner all the way from the Rubicon to let Kevin and Jack work it over.

Check out the pic at right to see how the bumper ties into the over-engine shock mount system... Cool, yes...?!?

Notice how the Orbit-Eyes keep the spring pack parallel with the axles even under extreme flex!

Patti's handle is "4x4 Mom", but you can bet this ain't yo momma's Oldsmobile!

Patti ran the rig by our shop to be fitted with !4"-travel Bilstein 7100 shocks with remote reservoirs.

Jack and A.O.R.-owner Kevin Grove are developing a cage system for 4Runners. Here's one prototype in Patti's 'Runner.

And keep scrolling down for another cool cage, custom bumpers and Orbit-EyeTM springs...

Jack started with this one-off custom cage system. Who knows, maybe some of the ideas will show up in the production version. Pat swears he's never gonna use the 'Runner's back seat again.

We told ya, Dapper Jack Bones just LOVES those cool-guy gussets with go-fast holes. We figure it's from his days as a race-chassis builder. Check out the custom front and rear bumpers.

No, this isn't a Dapper Jack art project. Well, maybe it sorta is. It's a custom tranny/t'case crossmember and skid plate assembly.

Check out the flex with A.O.R. 5-inch lift Orbit-Eye springs and BONZ extended shackles. How 'bout 1000 on a 25 degree ramp?!  And how 'bout thoses cool cut-out fenders? Seriously, fiberglass Rock Crawler fenders are on the way.
