This great '73 was a buildup project for Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road Magazine in the late 1990's and has been featured in numerous articles in 4x4 Power as well. It's been 'wheeled enough to prove it works great, but never abused, and it has been rarely driven in the past several years (I have two kids now, need I say more?) It's basically a new truck, just broken in. All upgrades to have been professionally installed and have less than 5000 miles on them: ENGINE & ACCESSORIES:
TRANNY & TRANSFER CASE:
SUSPENSION:
AXLES & TIRES: Tires: 35x12.50x15 BFG All-Terrains (90% tread, spare never on the ground) on 15x10 Superior Whitespoke wheels.
INTERIOR: AND: MegaWinch 2-speed gear-drive 12,000-lb winch & bumper, Pro-Comp 130 lights, locking rear cargo bumper, DeeZee Gold Series removable bed box, tow hitch, dual 15-gal. fuel tanks w/skid plates; Extra 6” lift springs front and rear. WHAT’S WRONG? Nothing important. Heater core is shot. Windshield is cracked (but fine). Paint on the hood and roof is getting a bit chalky. Dash is ratty and hard to change out because of roll bar brace. Roll bar wrap is sun-faded. Vise-Grip window cranks. Wood bed is getting shaky. E-brakes need cables (or do they?). No neutral-safety switch (good thing or bad?). Contact Ed Fortson, 970-257-0872 or email info@fortcom.com with questions or to make an appointment to see and drive it - and to make it yours! |
